Jerusalem: Flowers in the Snow

At an altitude of 809 meters (2654 feet), with an average temperature of 17.4 degrees Celsius (63 degrees Fahrenheit), Jerusalem flowers ignore the warmest average maximum high temperature of 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) during the summer months and the coolest average minimum low temperature of 6 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit) during the winter months and grow year round.

Last Wednesday, (09 January 2013) and Thursday, (10 January 2013) Jerusalem flowers struggled to survive the shockingly cold zero degree Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) weather and put up with the 24 hours of snow!
