From Jerusalem: Cheering for the Boricuas (Puerto Ricans) Participating in the London Olympics

From Jerusalem: Cheering for our boricuas (Puerto Ricans) participating in the London Olympics

With my fellow Boricuas – What a beautiful flag!

Old and faded but here it is on my small and humble balcony in Jerusalem (Israel) our Boricua (Puerto Rican) flag just waiting for our boys – Tommy Ramos, Felix Verdejo and Javier Culson to win “that heavy gold” for our Borinquén (Puerto Rican) nation.

And from here, together with my fellow boricuas who are just over there, I send out this prayer: “Dear G-d, I ask you to please assist our boys so that they will come out on top. And if I am allowed, I ask You, please, that each one of them should win a little Olympic Gold medal. And in advance of that, I am already sending You a ‘Thank You, Amen!’ Your Jewish Jibarita (Puerto Rican countrywoman) in Jerusalem.”
